Our Team
Heather Boyd-Roberts
Dr. Heather believes that to truly heal, you first need to be heard. She understands that using medication to simply mask symptoms does not solve the problem; it only hides the signal your body is sending. That is why she is dedicated to finding the "why" behind your health struggles.
Dr. Heather combines the science of medical diagnostics with the art of holistic care. She views your body as an interconnected work of art—where every system impacts the next—and looks for overloaded areas that standard tests often miss. Whether you are seeking symptom relief or optimal wellness, she guides you through the process with mutual respect and transparency.
Patients often describe Dr. Heather as a tenacious advocate for their well-being—a doctor who genuinely cares, truly listens, and won't stop until you have the answers you need to thrive. Her ultimate goal is to help you not only feel better today, but to be healthier for yourself and your loved ones for years to come.
Naturopathic Doctor & Owner
Sara Tapio
Sara joins A Natural Choice with a unique blend of clinical skill and personal empathy. Raised on a local dairy farm and inspired by her grandmother’s natural remedies, she began her career in healthcare as a Medical Assistant. However, her path toward Functional Medicine Coaching was truly forged through her own family's journey.
After navigating complex health and relational challenges with her loved ones, Sara saw firsthand how deeply our emotional well-being influences our physical symptoms. As a Health Coach, she uses that experience to partner with patients, helping them navigate the day-to-day realities of healing. She is passionate about supporting you through the "hard stuff"—stress, mindset, and lifestyle changes—so you can reach your goals.
A lover of the outdoors, Sara feels closest to the Lord while in nature, whether she is hiking, running, or taking a long walk. She embraces her Scandinavian heritage through saunas and cold plunges and finds deep peace and joy in her relationship with Jesus, reading inspirational fiction, and listening to worship music.
Health Coach
Born and raised right here in the Pacific Northwest, Bethany is constantly in awe that she gets to call such a beautiful place home. When she isn't managing the clinic, she is likely running her photography business with her husband, Aaron, spending time with family, or seeking out her next outdoor adventure.
Her dedication to holistic care is deeply personal. Having navigated chronic health issues from a young age, Bethany spent years in a cycle of "trial and error" with various medications and traditional treatments. It wasn't until she discovered the world of natural medicine and alternative therapies that she began to experience true success in her healing.
Bethany brings that empathy to her work every day. She understands that health is a journey, often with bumps along the road, rather than a straight line. She is grateful to be part of a team that looks at the whole person (physically, mentally, and spiritually) to support long-lasting wellness, and she loves seeing patients find the real answers she spent so long looking for.
Practice Manager
Bethany Ziesemer
Oli’s roots in natural living go deep. She moved to Vancouver from a small village in Ukraine at age seven, where growing food and caring for farm animals was a way of life. Today, she still finds her balance in nature, taking long walks in the forest to reset her body and mind.
Like many on our team, Oli’s passion for this work comes from her own journey. After struggling with chronic illness since age 12 and being told by conventional doctors that there was "no cause" for her pain and fatigue, she took matters into her own hands. Through her own research into natural medicine, she was able to reclaim her function and vitality.
Leaving the conventional medical field to join A Natural Choice was an easy decision for Oli. She feels blessed to align her work with her values, finding joy in every patient interaction. She loves celebrating the "wins” and seeing patients walk in feeling better than before and hearing what is working on their path to wellbeing as she continues on her own.
